Law of Gravity

Law of gravity has existed ever since the earth was created. Whether we like it or not, we are bound to be under the law of gravity. The only way to escape the law of gravity is to live in space in a space shuttle or a satellite as all other planets do have gravity. The law of gravity, though it existed since the creation, only Isaac Newton gave it a name and published it to the world. Until then, though this law existed, no one knew. Now, we are always bound to it.

In the same way, the law of holiness existed even before the world was created. 1 John 1:5 says that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. So, holiness always exists as God is eternal. Hence, the law also existed since the beginning. It was Moses who wrote those laws and published them to the humans, just like Isaac Newton. Isaac Newton did not create a law he only brought the law to the light. In the same way, Moses did not create the law. It was Moses who brought the law to the light of humans.

Lord Jesus in Matthew spoke about it. Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle shall in any wise pass from the law till all be fulfilled. So, the Law of holiness will always exist and be required to be kept.

Where is the one place where we can hide from the law of God? No where!

Though the law of God exists everywhere, we are to keep them unlike the law of gravity. Because there is an opposing law that pulls us away from the law of holiness, that is, the law of evil. The law of God is not enforced, like the law of gravity, but a choice. Those who are willing to obey it, they keep the temple of God, that is, our body, holy, meaning clean. Though it may sound like a ritual to keep the law of God, it is essential to keep the body clean as it wages war against the soul, 1 Peter 2:11.

So what did Jesus Christ fulfill then?

King Jesus fulfilled the 'Law of sacrifice' to be forgiven and redeemed when someone sins, not the law of holiness - the law that sets evil apart from good. According to the previous covenant, when someone breaks any of the laws that set someone holy (set apart), they need to sacrifice a clean animal. When Lord Jesus died, he became that clean animal. People used to put their faith in the death of the clean animal. Now, the new covenant is to put our faith in the death of our Lord Jesus. The resurrection proves the existence of the eternal life that the Father had in the beginning.
